Since June 2023, employers have had to comply with the federal Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). While a fairly new law, the PWFA requires covered employers to provide reasonable accommodations to employees with pregnancy-related limitations. Employers must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to accommodation requests.
