Overview

As the food supply chain has evolved, the effective management of food safety incidents has become increasingly important. The food consumers and the food supply chain and regulatory authorities expects prompt communication and thorough management of such incidents.

Food certification scheme owners are also an important stakeholder and failing to communicate the investigation steps and actions taken leads to doubt that the certification requirements have been maintained, and in some cases will affect the grading of the following audit or in serious cases suspension of certification.

Objective

Participants will gain practical guidance and valuable feedback from a manager at a leading certification body, who has extensive experience in managing incidents and communicating details with the scheme owners (specifically IFS, FSSC 22000 and BRCGS).
