Welcome to webinar, everyone. Appreciate you taking time out of your busy days today. My name is Sean Hollingshead. I'm VP of Business Development here at Orion. And today we're going to spend just a few minutes touching on the Orion stacks package that we've just come out with. Orion Stacks is really a culmination of of several years of acquisitions that Orion has has had across some of the industry leaders in the space and now we're really bringing together those tools into one fully scalable scalable tech solution. We think about the growth of Orion, Orion really started as a reporting and billing you know trading type of platform that was bringing custodial data. And that's really the service that we provided. You know firms use this as their operational chassis was really the system that you had access to to be able to provide core customized reporting and efficient scalable data that was reconciled on a daily basis. We've come a long way since then. The acquisition of Redtail has has brought in a great system from a CRM perspective and a couple other things that we'll talk about today. We've made some acquisitions on the wealth management side. We brought in financial planning tools. Risk intelligence tools, compliance tools and now with the Orion stack program, we're really hoping to to have the ability to to combine this into one scalable technology package as opposed to what most firms are dealing with today. I imagine most of of the firms that are on the webinar today use several tools from several different products and companies. And if you think about the integration we talked about in the space, a lot of times it becomes pretty fluffy. You know, it's not true integration. You might have a single sign on, you might have a data pass here and there, but there's not a true hub of integration where you're going back and forth within the one system to access financial planning, CRM, compliance, risk intelligence and reporting. And that's really one of the key pieces of this Orion Stacks vision is, hey, you know, we have a problem here. Everybody talks about this pain point and you think about the pain points that you deal with as a firm. Integration tends to always come to the forefront of that, and integration could be defined in different capacities, but really the the biggest component is I don't want to duly maintain data. I don't want to bounce back and forth between multiple systems. I want to have a central hub where I can focus on my clients and scaling my business as opposed to all of these dams and roadblocks that I deal it with when the technology isn't succinct across the different platforms. And that's really where the, the introduction of the Orion stacks component comes into place. With these acquisitions we've made over the last couple of years, we now have you know it's cliche to say, but we now have an all in one solution for for for firms and their back office structure and the way that the stack structure works, we're going to focus on a couple of key areas today. But the way that the stack structure or the stack package works is you take everything that you've heard about in terms of Orion over the last couple of years. You're reporting billing, trading, client experience and you combine that with some of the industry leaders in the risk, intelligence, compliance and financial planning space. So if you look on the slide here that that we're reviewing, we won't spend a lot of time going through this slide point by point. But you can see now the idea is we want to take this, this concept of the fiduciary wheel and we want to bring that to completion. We don't want to just have one component of that where you leverage Orion and then you have to go find other service providers for, for some of the other elements. The Orion stack package ensures that you can go from A-Z with your clients, you can go from A-Z from an operational standpoint in your business. And ultimately, which is the point of all of this is you can scale without having limited capacity on the technology side where you're outgrowing that at some point. The key point, if I could get one thing across to encourage you to look at Orion in more detail today is this platform and especially now with the Orion stack structure is not a system that your firm can outgrow whether you have 25 million or 50 billion or 100 billion. This platform will help you scale in the future based off what you'd like to do. So let's take a few minutes and go through a few key components in terms of the system and some of the advantages of this stack that we've now put into place. So many of you, I've probably seen Orion to cut some capacity in the past. The system has shifted quite a bit over the last couple years. And really just like everything we do at Orion, it's based off the feedback we get from you. Orion was built from advisors for advisors. And so the interface, the workflows, the structure, they're put into place, that's not ideas conceptualized. In a dark room in Orion, that's something that we take years of feedback from you to build out scalable solutions. And today like I mentioned, we're not going to go into every single detail of the platform. There's no way in a short couple of minutes here we can touch on everything. The hope is you'll find a small nugget that says, hey, maybe there's something we can look at here and and and if you are interested in getting more information you want to go through some one-on-one demos, help our team understand your business a little more you'll see that blue button in the webinar program. Feel free to click on that. You can. You can schedule time with our team and we will go through any of these aspects in much more detail. The Orion system is laid out in a widgetized format. You're looking at a home screen example of the platform where I can construct the different reporting metrics that are important for me based off my position at the firm when I start my day, whether that's something related to trading, reporting, billing or just getting an idea of the business intelligence structure of the firm. I can see that within these different formats on the home screen, the other critical component to the home screen is access quickly into reporting details. We, like I mentioned, aren't going to go into every detail around how to build a report, how to run a bill. But if you think about the daytoday interaction with the client preparing for a client meeting, the last thing we want you to do is sit there and waste twenty 30-40 minutes running queries and reports. And So what I have the ability to do right out of the gate is I can jump up to the top, search for a client and pull up what we call the portfolio view. The portfolio view is impactful because it allows me to get insight into all of the different reporting metrics in terms of household values, performance, holdings, activity summaries, benchmarking data all the way down to the nitty gritty transactional details if we need to get there. This dynamic reporting view also allows me to take things like. Changing the date ranges, finding a fine-tuned date range between, you know middle of the month when a client had a question about something that came up. I can make those adjustments at the top right of the screen and I have the ability to go back and forth with some of the information that we see there. So if I have at from a firm's perspective, if I can quickly tie into some of those reporting metrics that allows me to prepare or to answer any questions that come up from a firm's perspective. Now speaking specifically to the stack side, we think about a couple of key components in there. All of your core functions are available in the in the Orion Advantage stack, all reporting capabilities, billing, trading, client experience, business intelligence, all those things that Orion has done very well over the last number of years. Those packages are available in the system. In addition to that you have access to Redtail and a couple of their premier products, Redtail CRM, Redtail Imaging and Redtail Speak. Outside of Redtail, you also have access to our risk intelligence tool. We acquired Hidden Levers a couple of years ago that since been rebranded through Orion Risk Intelligence that is included in the Orion Advantage stack. And then lastly Orion compliance, our compliance tool that provides employee and firm oversight across the board, all tied in within the Orion system. From a visual perspective, starting on the CRM side, Redtail's done a great job building ACRM specific for the industry. There's a reason they have such a footprint in our industry and part of it is they built this tool for financial advisors. It's not something where you have to come in and reorganize it, restructure it, hire a consultant, spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get your CRM up and running. This is an out-of-the-box solution built to scale with your firm. With all CRM components in mind, contact information, calendaring, all of the components that you would have available in terms of some of the setup process and workflows associated with your firm. So I wanted to quickly show you on the screen here with our integration into Orion, one of the critical pieces from the CRM perspective is building Orion directly into Redtail. Though I'm logged in the Redtail right now, you'll notice that Orion is framed directly into the Redtail system. So I don't need to leave Redtail to access anything related to reporting that portfolio view we talked about. I can pull up a client and I can see that same portfolio view right from Redtail, I have the ability to go into a contact. So let's search for a quick contact here in Redtail. And if we pull up our friend Kurt Cobain, it's going to take me to his contact page. And without leaving the Redtail system, if I go down to his account structure, I can directly go into that portfolio of you and see. Here's his performance metrics. Here's his estimated income report. Any other reporting details that I need there are all embedded and tied into the Redtail system for a bit more of a scalable process. The last thing I mentioned on the Redtail side is within the Orion Advantage stack. We also include a proposal system, and the proposal system is embedded in a couple of different areas throughout the platform. One is right within the Redtail system. You'll see when I'm on a contact. I can hit new proposal and it will take me right into the process to generate a proposal, whether this is for a prospective client or for an existing client that we want to run a comparison on. I can generate that. I also have within our portfolio audit tool the ability right here under this prospecting section to generate a proposal. So I can do it right within the Orion platform, I can do it within the Redtail system and I can do it within the advisor portal structure. The idea is to embed multiple areas where you can generate a proposal on demand and produce. I'll give you a quick example, a very clean branded proposal for your prospects to look through, so I'll scroll through this briefly for demo purposes. You can see as an example, an idea of how the proposal structure can work within the Orion system. The nice thing about the proposal tool is within the Advantage stack. You're not just looking at investments and holdings, you're not just looking at goals and objectives. You also have the ability to look at risk profiling, risk metrics up and down side, capture some of the core risk statistics that might be important for you to look at in terms of the conversations you have with your clients. All of that can be embedded into a proposal here that you can generate on demand right within the Redtail Orion system or wherever else you are. Ultimately the goal of this integration on the Redtail side is for you to say am I in Orion or I'm in Redtail. Exactly the point we don't want you to know where, where, which system you're in. We want you to live in one embedded system where you can run all your core CRM tasks, all your core reporting tasks and be able to scale without having an integration problem between those two platforms. On the trading side of Orion, we won't spend a lot of time here, but I will mention for firms that aren't familiar with Orion, Orion has has had trading for the last 10-15 years. We've had some core trading tools. Six or seven years ago we built out a system called Eclipse. And Eclipse is, is really our scaled tax efficient rebalancer. So if you think about the way you traded today, whether you traded an account level or a household level, Eclipse can fit that need. If you have taxes, harvesting and tax sensitivity clients that you need to be considered of, Eclipse is built to serve those that client base and firms that trade like that. If you need this trade at scale, you need to produce trades across thousands of accounts or just a couple of accounts. Eclipse can handle that. And the way that the system is built, you're looking at a home screen in the Eclipse platform. Our trading system is it. I wants to identify any potential actionable items up front. So based off and customized specific to your firm's preferences, I can quickly access areas of the platform where I might have portfolios that are out of tolerance. I might have taxes, harvesting opportunities. I may need to do an adjustment with the client that has a systematic in place. And so this gives me the ability to quickly filter down. To specific areas in the system where I can then go through and I can make an adjustment, I can make a trade, I can do whatever I need to do in terms of my trading platform. It's also organized to allow me to quickly review clients with specific needs. So even within the grid view here, I can create custom filterable views where I can say, hey, we need to make adjustments to these particular portfolios. I can go right into my trade tools and whether I'm doing something straightforward like a rebalance. Or I need to go tactically under the hood and see what's going on with an individual account, I can do that directly from this tool. The key thing for time purposes here with the clips and like I mentioned at the beginning of the call, we certainly can spend time going through this in much more detail if the firm is interested in learning about our trading. The key component is that it's a tax efficient rebalancer. It allows you to trade at the household level. You have key tax sensitivity set, sensitivity settings in there like taxes, harvesting triggers and rebalancing settings. And you have the ability to create models that are either baseline, standard security set level models, you know a couple of products that are put together or you can build scalable multi level models of models and then tactically rebalance or do focused rebalances on specific areas there. So we'll leave trading for for a much longer conversation on another day, but it is worth mentioning that that's a key component in the Orion advantage tax system. And that particular tool is certainly worth spending some time on, on looking at beyond that. Couple of the quick things I'll mention going back to the Redtail side, Redtail obviously offers from a CRM perspective some core systems related to the CRM contact management platform. You also have, if you look at the right side of my screen here, access to two other components in the Orion Advantage stack, one of them is Redtail Imaging. Redtail imaging is an archiving system where you can folder out and archive and and ultimately hopefully go paperless as a firm. That gives you the ability to have document storage core and custom folder structuring and you can organize that on the back end while still managing your your your clients within the client portal and and the interface there. Redtail Speak is a compliant text messaging platform. So if you think about, you know, e-mail marketing today and the low drop, the drip that we get on e-mail marketing and open rates and things like that, everybody has a phone in front of them. Everybody's looking at their phone. It's a 90 plus percent chance that that a client's going to open a text message. And so the Redtail speak system allows you to text in a compliant fashion as well as internally chat with your team. To ensure that you're not having any issues from a compliance perspective, but you can scale communicate in a different method within your client base. So if you're interested in learning more about either of those platforms in more detail, we certainly can spend time. Again, click that blue button and we can discuss what Redtail imaging and Redtail speed can do for your business. In terms of client experience, we're going to shift a little bit over to the client experience side critically on the financial planning component. You know, you you think about the usage rates of client portals today, they're relatively low and there's a couple reasons for that. One, we just don't hit the mark on it very often. As a client, I I want to know typically one of two things. If I'm not, if I don't have a really nice financial plan built out, One, did my money go up or did it go down? And two, what did I pay for my money to go up or down? And in terms of a portal, I don't need any other of that pizzazz and jazz and all the other things because really I that's that's what I know. That's what I was trained to do from an advisor. Is my money going up or is it going down within Orion? We've really tried hard to create an environment where we can focus on things more related to the behavioral finance side. Doctor Daniel Crosby on our team has done a great job building out tools related to risk metrics, components, bucketing systems. And other tools that help really engage a client from a planning perspective to focus on specific, specific goals and objectives versus just the hey, how's, how are my accounts doing. So when you think about the client portal system in Orion, let's go into an existing client here just briefly. And you can see that in a combination of efforts within the client portal, we have the ability for a client to see their investment accounts because that's still important. We need to see what's happening in those accounts. I have the ability to put together a network picture. So I have a nice clean way to say, well, where do I sit with my assets and liabilities? We've added in some of these other accounts. I know I have a mortgage, I have loans, I have some credit cards. I know I have savings and investment accounts. I can really start to paint a picture where the client comes into a portal like this. And instead of focusing on, well, the markets down today, I'm sure my accounts are down. This is really, you know, depressing and frustrating. I can get a broader picture to say, well, you know what? Let's think about from a gold perspective. Am I on track? You know, even even a basic objective like retirement, I shouldn't say basic, but a basic goal structure like retirement, how are we doing? You know, the markets are down today, but oh, you know, it looks like right now in terms of my retirement analysis, things are on track. Where we're, we're still trending in the right direction. I can see from a retirement perspective everything's in good order here and this is really where this portal becomes a much more all consuming structure for your clients where they can see their plans. They can see their objectives, they can see the accounts that are earmarked for it. And so when they go into different areas of the system, even things like cash flow analysis and they say well let's jump to retirement here, what, what, what do things look like in retirement, they can quickly get a picture of that without having to jump back and forth between multiple systems. The last thing I'll mention in the client portal is in terms I mentioned that risk profiling structure we do have built into the system what we call 3D risk profile, we also have. A bucketing system we call Protect the Living Dream. These are just additional tools that you can leverage to build out a narrative and a story that will make sense to your clients, that's relatable to them and helps them more than anything understand risk in a in a greater capacity. I'm not going to walk you through the the risk profiling here, but I want you to understand that it's not just a number, an arbitrary number that's produced on a scale from from zero to 100. This 3D risk profile allows you to take risk and break into three separate components, capacity, tolerance and composure. And there are specific questions for each of those items. So that a client not only are we just saying, well you know what's your ability to bear risk, you know get on a scale from 1:00 to 10:00, Sean, how risky are you? I don't know an 8, right. And and and we build a portfolio based off of that. This is taking a much more behavioral finance perspective and saying, well, let's think about your capacity. You know, let's, let's look at your goals and focus on your goals and objectives. Are are we going to reach those? Let's look at your composure, you know, in terms of of of your composure when the markets go up and down. Let's let's score that a little bit and then let's build an overarching risk, risk number based off of those 3 components. So if you haven't seen this before, we haven't looked at it. I would recommend spending some time going through the three, the 3D risk profiling, the Orion client experience in general and some of the financial planning tools that are built into this. The last thing I'll mention on the planning side is we do have a mobile application that's branded to your firm. The client can go and search for your name in the App Store and all of these things that we're quickly looking at on the screen here are available in a mobile application structure. Last couple of quick things I'll touch on and then we'll wrap up for our for our demo today and appreciate everybody spending some time here is on the Core Orion system. We certainly still have access to those core components I talked about. When you think about the bread and butter of Orion, the four, the four really cornerstones of Orion are the reporting system, the billing system, the trading platform we touched on briefly and the client experience reporting is siloed in two capacities. One is that portfolio view we talked about. If I come back here where I have the ability to quickly come in and see what's happening in my client's portfolios, is there anything we need to do or manage there and and I can leverage that directly from from the portfolio view. I also have the ability to look at the top right in my screen to run a report. One off I can run custom reports, I can build custom reports. I can have a library of reports available to run on demand within the platform here. So that reporting tool really becomes the critical aspect to scale and produce bulk reporting on quarter end or month end depending on your firm cycle. I can produce those and then I have the ability to push those reports directly to coming back to that client portal into the document vault. That document vault can be stored directly for those statements one off reports and with many of our main custodians or the main custodians that exist in the space today, we have the ability to upload their statements and their tax documents automatically through our integration with those those platforms. Two other quick things I'll touch on them, we'll wrap up here. Within the portfolio view, we talked about risk intelligence briefly the the risk intelligence tools a a a very useful deep analytic tool related to. Your clients portfolios, the models that your team manages and the go forward objectives of what's happening in the markets. When we think about stress testing, 1 nice thing that the team has been able to do with that acquisition of Hidden Levers, which is now that Orion Risk Intelligence program is directly in that portfolio view. You can see I can grab a snapshot of my client and all of the risk capacity related to that portfolio. So whether it's a stress test and we're looking at upside, downside capture. Risk measurements, correlation, risk depending on what they're holding in the in the platform or more of those equity and style box analysis that we're familiar with on the Morningstar side. Those tools that stress testing capability and that risk intelligence capability is built into the Orion system along with the detailed risk questionnaire we discussed and that proposal tool. So you have key tools on the front end with your prospects. To show them where they're positioned today in comparison to where you you'd place them from an investment standpoint and on an ongoing basis in terms of those client reviews. Last piece I'll touch in and I won't, I won't go into it for time purposes on the webinar here you'll have access to register for specific compliance demos, but the the last key component to the Orion Advantage stack is our Orion compliance suite. Orion has had core compliance tools for a number of years if you look at the application on my screen here. These tools have been related to your data, the ability to have scheduled queries run on whatever consistency you want so that you're storing and supervising all the critical areas of your business. We have a DB dashboards where when it's when it comes time to to file those ADB amendments, we want you to have a one stop shop to be able to pull that updated data and file that a DB. And then we have auditing tools when those those audits come up going to happen at some point. We want to be able to pull that data as quickly as we can. The enhanced version of the Orion compliance suite with our acquisition of Basis Code is the ability to now have key clients and firm oversight within the system. So whether that's an attestation, code of ethics, calendaring, gift and entertainment logs, firm oversight tasks, compliance, calendaring, all of that is built into our Orion compliance tool. And it's well worth taking a few minutes whether you're using a compliance consultant today or you're doing it in house. We have a network of compliance consultants that leverage the tool we use today. We also have a number of firms that leverage that platform to scale and ensure that you're in in compliance from a firm perspective without having to track emails one off without having to send out random reminders via an e-mail system. That compliance tool can do a great job really building in everything you need from a compliance suite. So I would highly encourage you to to spend some time with our our product folks on the compliance side as well as the risk intelligence side. As well as the CRM side to really get a better picture of everything that's pieced in together under this Orion Advantage Stack. Like I mentioned, this is a very brief overview of some of the key components to the Orion Advantage Stack. The idea was just to give you an idea of a few different avenues that may be of interest to your firm. Really the the, the goal is spend some time with the team, everybody deals with different capacities from a firm perspective in terms of your technology. We'd highly recommend that you spend some time with our product teams and our sales teams going through each of these areas in more detail to see if it's a fit for your firm. I mentioned at the beginning of the webinar, ultimately Orion is built to allow you to scale without any issue and without any of that damning if you will, of of your technology. We don't want you to be able to outgrow your technology, we want to outpace what your firm is doing from a growth perspective and I'd highly encourage you to click that blue button and spend some time with our team to to go through this in more detail. Thank you. With that, we'll thank you for your time and we'll look forward to speaking with everybody next time. _1713890211503
