Join Girl Rising for a lively conversation about how powerfully told stories—and the resources that support them—can encourage students to think deeply about persistence, resilience, voice, allyship and how they can be part of change. Participants will learn about Girl Rising’s new upper elementary and middle school unit: Discovering the Changemaker Within. The unit offers 2-week and 5-week teaching options and can be taught as is or easily tailored to fit your existing scope and sequence or themes and integrated into your existing curriculum. It can be used remotely or in-person for subjects including reading, writing and social studies. The stories and the lessons inspire students to make powerful connections between themselves, their communities and the world beyond.
