Like the European Union (EU), Korea has its own version of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive called 'K-RoHS'. K-RoHS, the 'Act on Resource Circulation of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Vehicles' is a combined regulation including RoHS, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and End of Life Vehicles (ELV) directives. Manufacturers or importers of E&E products and vehicles in Korea have to follow the K-RoHS requirements.
