Listening comprehension is an essential skill for today’s students, especially as a foundational building block for literacy. This session will highlight the new Lexile Framework® for Listening released in January 2020, how the audio measures can support teaching with podcasts in the classroom and the profound implications the framework has for building literacy. She'll discuss the relationship between Lexile reading levels and Lexile listening levels and how educators can use Lexile listening levels to inform instruction.
