In the last few years, 3D printing with metals has exploded. Conventional powder bed fusion metal AM technologies (laser and e-beam) have continuously evolved with great advances in capabilities and materials. Hybrid methods that incorporate conventional CNC machining and additive manufacturing have been developed around Directed Energy Deposition and Ultrasonic Additive Manufacturing methods. More recently several new metal additive manufacturing (AM) technologies have emerged, including binder jetting, material extrusion, material jetting, vat photopolymerization, and cold spray.
During this webinar, Joe Strauss from HJE will examine each of these metal AM technologies. He will describe the processes and their capabilities, covering relative cost, build size, metals processed, tolerances, and surface finishes.
