Tim Raine is a consultant gastroenterologist and clinical lead for IBD at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK. Tim is a member of the ECCO (European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation) guidelines committee, and an author and group leader on several current ECCO guidelines. He serves on the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) IBD Clinical Research Group. Tim has an interest in clinical trials and is the lead investigator of several studies including the major UK IASO trial in acute-severe colitis. His research, funded by the Wellcome Trust, CCFA, OpenTargets and the National Institute for Health Research, focuses on regulation of the gastrointestinal immune system. Tim is an honorary faculty member of the Wellcome Trust Sanger Centre, UK.
