Over the last few years there has been increasing amounts of legislation aimed at protecting individuals from unrestricted marketing communications. As marketers, we often view these regulations as tiresome obstacles to negotiate. If, however, you flip your perspective and see it from the recipient’s point of view, it will become clear that the regulations simply drive respectful behavior in those sending marketing communications.
