Students can “act out” in a number of different ways and for various reasons. When disruptive behaviors begin to detract from learning; teachers, peers and parents can get understandably frustrated. If the rotation in and out of the principal’s office isn’t helping, it is time for a new approach. This webinar will look at deeper reasons that a child may act out in class, either in negative ways toward peers or continuously disrespecting adults. We will discuss ways to diffuse tense classroom moments as well as suggestions for how to look deeper than the behaviors and address potential underlying causes that just might make all the difference in the world to that kid.
