The COVID-19 virus will have an impact as it spreads across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) – but it must be put in context. Growth and decline in SSA is just as much impacted by highly transmissible tropical diseases such as Ebola and climatic factors including too much or too little rain, in addition to factors which Africa governments have struggled to address such as erratic policy decisions. Moreover, and more than any other region globally, African growth is driven more by structural factors, notably population growth and urbanisation.
Join this webinar to hear thoughts on what a COVID-19 impacted forecast and what type of contingency and working capital support can Citi provide our clients in SSA in this unique environment.
