As the country confronts the coronavirus pandemic, discussions about personal health information have become more common, and companies will need to take special care to protect the rights and privacy of their employees. This webinar will provide an overview of the legal framework relating to health information, both under federal law, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and state law. We will also discuss confidentiality obligations more broadly, including best practices for discussing sensitive health matters. Finally, we will provide updates on legislation in the pipeline, including the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. This webinar is appropriate for in-house legal personnel, as well as team members who are responsible for overseeing a range of employee touchpoints, including those in Compliance and Human Resources.
Our follow up webinar will address any questions stemming from Thursday's presentation. We ask that all questions be submitted to Antonio Reynolds at firstname.lastname@example.org by 6:00 p.m. EDT on March, 26, 2020._1590828006866
