The Life sciences and Healthcare industries are clearly focused on improving patient outcomes. However, managing complex and often new types of patient data require sophisticated and extensible data models for a host of diverse sources. Gaining new and deeper insights for desired outcomes requires analyzing demographics, clinical and medical records, diagnostics, therapeutic treatments and medications, laboratory and imaging results, genomics data, institutional resources and more. While these sources continue to multiply, they also create an incredible opportunity for advancing analytics with a modern solution. Many disparate systems have been developed to manage and integrate these data silos, but there are still too many significant challenges with interoperability and data sharing. Even with the evolution of leading industry data standards such as CDISC, HL7 FHIR, and FAIR principles, the data sharing challenges remain in slow to respond legacy systems and silos. Clearly, new methods and approaches in scientific data management will be needed to meet these growing challenges.
Life Science and Healthcare industry leaders are finding success managing their disparate structure and unstructured (text) data by implementing modern enterprise data fabrics. Independent research firms like Gartner and Forrester, we believe, consider the data fabric a critical enabling technology for business process innovation. We look forward to exploring how these leaders are leveraging these exciting innovations in an Anzo Data Fabric.
