Dr. Philippe Buchy
Philippe Buchy is a Medical Doctor with a specialization in Clinical Pathology, and holds a PhD in virology. He worked for 16 years with the Pasteur Institute as a Virologist and headed several National and WHO reference centres on influenza, H5N1, rabies and arboviruses. He authored over 180 publications in peer-reviewed journals as well as several book chapters and WHO guidelines. In June 2014, he joined GSK vaccines as Director of Scientific Affairs and Public Health in Region Intercontinental.
Associate Professor Michael Nissen
A/Professor Michael Nissen is a Director of Scientific Affairs & Public Health for GSK Vaccines Intercontinental based in Singapore. Prior to this role he was Director of Infectious Diseases at the Royal Children’s Hospital and a practising Clinical Microbiologist at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospitals in Brisbane, Australia from 2000 to 2014. Prof. Nissen is a past full member of the Australian Technical Advisory Group for Immunisation, Chair of the Australian National Verification Committee for the Elimination of Measles and membership of the Australian Influenza Vaccination Committee. Prof. Nissen has 202 peer-reviewed medical publications and book chapters.
