Event Description

Finance and accounting graduates need data analytics skills, and students can begin building those skills at the introductory level. Wendy Tietz, Ph.D., of Kent State University, and Tracie L. Miller-Nobles, of Austin Community College, will reveal ways to integrate data analytics into introductory accounting. They will also share step-by-step tutorial videos and Excel projects that require students to create pivot tables and conditional formatting using large datasets.

Learning Objectives

After this webinar, you will be able to:

1. Show students how to create and use pivot tables, pivot charts, and conditional formatting in Excel.
2. Explain the importance of data analytics in business and accounting.
3. Design a data analytics project in an introductory accounting class.
