As the Director of Valuation Services for the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, Eva leads the Association’s valuation team that is responsible for providing training, resources, tools and information to valuation professionals in the public and management accounting sectors. Eva oversees the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations (CEIV) Credential programs and supports the efforts of the AICPA’s Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee, Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) Credential Committee and Business Valuations Committee.

Prior to joining the AICPA in 2008, Eva started her career in public accounting, primarily working in business valuation. A licensed CPA in North Carolina, Eva holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation and earned her Master of Science in Accounting at East Carolina University.

Bethany Hearn is a Principal with CliftonLarsonAllen in the Specialized Advisory Services. She performs valuations of businesses and intangible assets for a variety of purposes including financial reporting, tax, merger and acquisitions, shareholder disputes, marital dissolutions, and bank financing. Bethany served as an expert witness for valuations in shareholder disputes and marital dissolutions in Illinois, Michigan and Washington. Bethany speaks on valuation topics to professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), state CPA societies, estate planning councils and university students and has authored numerous articles for business journals. She is the Chair of the AICPA ABV Credential Committee and a member of the ABV Exam Task Force.

Annette Stalker, CPA/CFF, CFE

Annette is the owner of Stalker Forensics and is a Certified Public Accountant and forensic accountant with over 20 years of public accounting, consulting, and international business experience. She is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She also holds a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Annette has provided expert testimony in cases involving a variety of partnership disputes, commercial and individual damages, alter ego claims, and has issued several forensic accounting investigation reports in both civil and criminal matters. Annette has served in multiple leadership roles within the AICPA, and in 2016 was appointed to serve as Chair of the Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee. This committee provides guidance and establishes standards for members practicing in the area of forensic and valuation services. Annette served as the Co-Chair of the 2016 and 2017 national AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Conference and has been a member of the conference planning committee for several years. In her spare time, Annette is an instructor of forensic accounting at UC Davis Extension and serves as a founding board member and treasurer of a local non-profit community theater group.


Thomas E. Hilton, MSF, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA, CGMA

Director of the Forensic & Valuation Services Group

Thomas E. Hilton, MSF, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA, CGMA is Director of the Forensic & Valuation Services Group at Anders in St. Louis. He is an adjunct professor of forensic accounting at the John Cook School of Business at St. Louis University. He is an experienced forensic accountant, and has testified regarding forensic accounting and economic damage matters in federal, state, and municipal courts in Missouri, Florida, Virginia, Arkansas, and Illinois. Mr. Hilton has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he is a past member of the Board of the AICPA Foundation, past Chair of the AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee, and has served as a member of AICPA Governing Council.

He is a contributing author to the first, second, and third editions of Financial Valuation: Applications & Models, published by John Wiley & Son.

In 2006 and 2005, Mr. Hilton was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Practitioners by CPA Magazine. He was inducted into the AICPA Business Valuation Hall of Fame in 2004. In 2003, Mr. Hilton was named a CPA All-Star in the Business Valuation discipline by CPA Magazine.

Mr. Hilton holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Master of Science in Finance from St. Louis University.
