Based on a recent survey*, currently, 72% of the participating U.S. Enterprises and companies with 500+ employees said they are either conducting or have completed trials of Microsoft Lync. A dramatic increase compared to the previous year. As companies continue to deploy Lync and soon Skype for Business for their enterprise voice and video UC solution, the demands on network resources increase exponentially, as do user’s expectations of quality. Coupled with this, Lync’s native encryption of signaling and media (for security purposes) presents some unique challenges.
Key Lync Challenges
- Lync is increasingly being deployed for enterprise telephony and video that places increased demands on network resources, while raising users’ expectations of quality.
- Network professionals must manually identify problems and detect their root causes.
- Typical Lync monitoring today is dependent upon post-call average data from the Lync Quality of Experience (QoE) database.
The solution to these issues lies in the tight integration with Lync services that captures all the data responsible for identifying and resolving the root cause behind Lync-specific UC problems. This webinar will root out some of the most common voice, video and data traffic issues that Lync customers may experience and present some of the keys to success for the most optimized Lync UC experience, as well as some real world deployment results.
