Breaking Through 3.0GHz with the ARM® Cortex®-A53

On-demand webcast: Aired live:
December 10, 2014 01:00 PM EST

The Cortex-A53 is one of the most power efficient processor from ARM capable of seamlessly supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit code. It finds application in a wide variety of markets – from smart-phones and tablets to high performance enterprise and networking. In this live webinar, ARM engineers will discuss the unique challenges they faced when balancing the need for high performance with the requirement of low power and small area. They will also present the IP strategy they followed and the implementation methodologies they developed for the POP IP based Cortex-A53 implementation solution.

Who should attend:
This webinar is targeted at SoC implementation, CAD and back-end engineers who are responsible for implementing high performance Cortex-A53 processor-based SoCs. This webinar assumes a basic knowledge of semiconductor process technology and back-end implementation methodologies.

Speakers:

Rahoul Varma

With over 17 years of experience at ARM, Rahoul has a vast experience in multiple engineering and marketing positions within the organisation. Before Rahoul’s current role he worked in SoC engineering and CPU implementation teams as an Engineering Manager. Currently Rahoul is the Product Marketing Director for POP IP products within the ARM’s Physical Design Group and is responsible for all POP IP products for Cortex and Mali Processors. He holds a degree in Microelectronics Systems Design from the Brunel University (UK).

Raghu Kodali
Raghu is the Engineering Manager within the Physical Design Group managing POP IP developments. He has over 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry spanning roles in physical IP design, design automation, physical implementation. Raghu works closely with foundries and EDA vendors to keep up to date with all the latest implementation and advanced sign-off techniques. His current role involves leading engineers working on ARM’s latest processors on the industry’s most advanced process technologies.
