Fortifying Access to First Response: Funding Considerations for 9-1-1 and the Transition to IP-based Technologies A Webinar on the Health and Long-term Viability of Emergency Calling In America

Join this webinar as we discuss the initial findings from the research undertaken by iCERT, in conjunction with Texas A&M University, as part of a study of 911 funding processes and the long-term efficacy of systems of financial support for emergency calling in America. With the purpose to provide educational information to elected officials, agency heads, and the public at large we will focus on the status of technology development and implementation, projected costs for transition to an all IP system, and potential funding structures.

The policies and procedures considered as a result of this project will also result in a series of feasible recommendations for funding mechanisms, to be delivered in a report published by iCERT in early 2015.
