No incubator to perform a cell-based assay? No problem!
Monitor cytotoxicity kinetically and confirm biologic MOA in a gas-controlled plate reader
Wednesday June 11, 2014 at 4:00 PM CEST
In this webinar, we demonstrate the performance of two cell-based assays using an environmentally-controlled microplate reader. A real-time cytotoxicity assay (CellTox™ Green Cytotoxicity Assay) and an ADCC assay (ADCC Reporter Bioassay) from Promega were performed on an Tecan Infinite® M200 PRO with Gas Control Module (GCM™).
The Infinite M200 PRO is a modular, flexible multimode reader and, equipped with the GCM, it allows simultaneous control of both CO2 and O2 within the measurement chamber, providing a cost-efficient alternative to a standard cell culture incubator. Combined with remote monitoring using Tecan’s new CNS (Common Notification System) software, the Infinite reader and GCM offer exceptional ease of use and greater productivity for long-term cell-based kinetic assays.
Key learning objectives
Study mode-of-action of potential Ab drugs in real time
Ease-of-use cytotoxicity assays in kinetic mode
Get consistent results in a plate reader with environmental control
Increase productivity with remote monitoring

Christian Oberdanner PhD, Application Specialist in Sales and Marketing, Tecan Austria
Christian Oberdanner, PhD, studied Molecular Biology at the University of Salzburg, Austria. In his doctoral thesis he focused on Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) mediated apoptosis induction in photodynamic cancer therapy. His work was supported by a University grant for excellent students and the results were published in several peer-reviewed articles.
Christian started to work for Tecan Austria as an external scientific consultant already during his last year at University. After his graduation in 2006 he joined Tecan as a regular employee, working in the department for research and development as Application Specialist. After one year he changed to the sales and marketing department, still working as an Application Scientist. Since then he is responsible mainly for Tecan’s multimode reader portfolio from application perspective, but also contributed to product developments as Junior Product Manager.
