You are invited to view a recording of the 6th annual Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited Webcast celebrating International Women’s Day which took place on
Wednesday, March 5, 2014 – 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST (GMT-5)

Traditional approaches to diversity are getting women in the door and fostering retention and development, but not advancing sufficient women to leadership quickly enough. Despite decades of increased focus on quotas, development, women’s rights, and flexibility, the limited progress around the world suggests that something is clearly missing from strategies to empower and advance women to top-level positions in the private and public sectors.

What is often forgotten when we discuss women’s empowerment is the role of men. Most leadership positions are held by men and unless they accept the business case for the recruitment, retention, development, and advancement of women to executive positions, little is likely to change.

This webcast brings together two distinguished business leaders to take a deep dive into exploring the role of men in general, and male leaders in particular, in supporting the business case for the attraction, retention, development, and advancement of women to leadership in organizations and society.

This 60-minute market-driven panel discussion:
  • Offers insights into women in leadership, what it means, and its impact on gender equality, diversity of thought, and organizational performance
  • Explores the role of male leaders and lessons learned
  • Spotlights bold moves organizations and governments can make to change traditional policies and practices and benefit from advancing women
