Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Tax Technical Hot Topics webcast: Base Erosion Profit Sharing (BEPS) & Global Controversies

Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences (“PLS”) companies have traditionally set their tax and transfer pricing strategy by trying to manage the expectations of multiple external stakeholders (regulatory bodies, income tax authorities, customs authorities, etc.) and by staying abreast of industry trends. Currently, this task has become even more complex given the recent developments in the international tax and transfer pricing environment, and the attention allocated by the media to the international tax practices of multinational companies.

The OECD acknowledged that businesses are now operating in a globally integrated manner and the current international tax rules were developed at a time when cross border transactions were not as prominent. M&A activity within the PLS industry has added further complexity to many companies' business models. During this webcast, our panellists will discuss the impact of these recent developments on PLS companies, and will provide useful insights with respect to developing a BEPS planning or assessment roadmap for addressing immediate tax and transfer pricing challenges, which should highlight potential areas of concern, as well as a list of priorities requiring action.

Who should participate?
Tax VPs/Directors and their tax teams, CIOs, CFOs, Controllers, COOs, finance directors,...in pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies.
