Date: Tuesday, July 16, 2013
Time: 09:00 AM CDT

The paradox of premium connections is that while they can seal high pressures, support extreme mechanical loads and endure severe hostile environments, they can be rendered ineffective by the slightest damage of a critical element such as a seal surface. The importance of careful handling of the pipe, thorough inspection of the connections at the rig and proper running procedures cannot be over emphasized. This webcast will explain the options available to the user to reduce their risk including selecting suppliers working in accordance to API Q2 specification. The requirement is that a premium connection design and flawless manufacturing are prerequisites to maintain the proven performance for the expected service life.
