Tech Insider: Modeling Batteries and Fuel Cells using COMSOL Multiphysics |
Thursday, August 8, 2013 • 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Simulation is a cost-effective way to understand and optimize electrochemical energy extraction devices such as batteries and fuel cells. This webinar features the Batteries & Fuel Cells Module for COMSOL Multiphysics that can be used to model lithium-ion batteries and polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) in addition to more general electrochemical systems. Models are based on fundamental electrochemical theory to provide information about currents and concentrations so that experimental data such as polarization curves can be correlated to the underlying chemistry. The webinar will conclude with a 15-minute Q&A session.
