New FASB/IASB Proposed Changes Lease Accounting Webcast
AGA and EEI have teamed with PwC to host a power and utilities industry webcast on the recently issued Leases Exposure Draft. On May 16, 2013, the boards issued a revised exposure draft on leases. The proposed standard may have a pervasive impact on the accounting, business processes, systems, and controls for power and utilities companies. We will provide an overview of these industry specific impacts. This includes potential implications of changes to the identification of which contracts should be accounted for as a lease and the new dual income statement recognition model.
