The AdvancedTCA specification enables a wide range of system topologies to be built which satisfy the performance needs of many telecom and network equipment manufacturers. However more recent, emerging applications require deeper levels of network intelligence at significantly higher data rates, including quality of service, security, load balancing and switch redundancy as well as performance verification and monitoring of applications and services. Specialized switching blades and techniques are required to achieve these capabilities, combined with wire speed switching and data flow between standard ATCA blades. These can all be implemented within the ATCA switch itself or performed statefully on adjunct X86 or network processor mezzanines or blades. Join our expert system architects who will provide insights into the main system topologies being deployed today and how commercial ATCA building blocks are being adapted to design systems which extend beyond the basic specifications to solve next generation networking needs. The speakers will provide several deployment examples of service aggregation switching solutions, cloud gateways, and security application configurations . Finally a new breed of extended ATCA systems (eATCA) will be introduced which provides significantly increased I/O density , offload and acceleration functions. Speakers: Aviv Miller-Product Line Manager, Telco Systems Peter Marek- Senior Director of x86 solutions, Advantech Network & Communications Group |
