August 20, 2013 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. ET
Family child care settings are diverse environments in which providers often care for a group of children whose age and development stages vary widely. Join this webinar to gain an introduction to the CLASS measure and its relevance to family child-care settings. We’ll provide a historical look at the CLASS measure and its roots in parenting literature; meaningful comparisons between classroom and family care settings; and concrete recommendations for using the CLASS system within these settings

Presenter: Ginny Vitiello, Research and Evaluation Director, Teachstone
As Research and Evaluation Director, Ginny works with partners to develop research strategies to add to Teachstone’s knowledge of effective teaching. Ginny’s goal is to maintain Teachstone’s strong commitment to connecting research-based tools with the programs that can use them to improve education practices. Ginny’s own research has looked at relations between preschool process quality and child outcomes among at-risk children. Ginny earned her B.A. in Psychology at New College of Florida and her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the University of Miami.
