Hooters Increases Profits and Reduces Theft with Biometric Enabled POS |

Hooters’ IT staff found it challenging to manage and track unauthorized voids using their previous PIN and swipe card security system. Hooters sought technology that could tie food servers to each transaction and ensure manager review was provided for overrides and voids. Additionally, reliable terminal hardware was required to run the security system and survive the tough QSR environment. Hooters installed fingerprint readers on each of their Posiflex POS stations enabling nearly 4,000 employees to use fingerprint readers at Hooters restaurants to authenticate transactions, as well as clock in and out.
