Hooters’ IT staff found it challenging to manage and track unauthorized voids using their previous PIN and swipe card security system. Hooters sought technology that could tie food servers to each transaction and ensure manager review was provided for overrides and voids. Additionally, reliable terminal hardware was required to run the security system and survive the tough QSR environment.
Hooters installed fingerprint readers on each of their Posiflex POS stations enabling nearly 4,000 employees to use fingerprint readers at Hooters restaurants to authenticate transactions, as well as clock in and out.
By updating their POS terminal hardware with fingerprint readers, Hooters immediately starting seeing reduced transaction and payroll fraud, while eliminating the cost of constantly replacing lost or stolen swipe cards.
With a biometrically-enabled POS system, learn how restaurants::
- Eliminate time and attendance fraud
- End unauthorized voids and overrides
- Speed food server transaction time
- Discourage illegal activities with fingerprint accountability
- Maximize POS terminal uptime
- Effectively plan and implement national POS terminal rollouts
