Brian Jacobs is the Senior Product Manager for the WhatsUp Gold suite of network management products by Ipswitch. Brian attended Auburn University and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a Minor in Spanish. He started his professional career as an intern with IBM in the early 1990s, and focused the first ten years of his career on carrier-scale network design and Unix system administration, serving as a senior network engineer for Phoenix Data Systems (acquired by Charter Communications) and senior systems engineer for Lucent Technologies.
