Producing plastic parts with undercuts present distinct challenges for designers and molders. The Collapsible Core has expanded the capabilities of undercut molding since 1968 with its integral flexing steel segment design. Since 2009 Dove Tail Collapsible Cores have provided the most compact way to mold internal threads and undercut features. We will present recent technological advancements that provide better, more cost-efficient methods of producing undercuts and threaded parts.
Bob Salhaney serves as a Product Engineer for DME Company. He has over 33 years of experience in developing and applying solutions within the plastics industry.
