Bob Ackerman has been the editor in chief of SIGNAL Magazine for more than 14 years. A seasoned technology journalist, Mr. Ackerman also has served as a war correspondent covering the Iraq War embedded with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division. Prior to becoming SIGNAL's editor in chief, Mr. Ackerman served as the magazine's senior editor. He has been with SIGNAL Magazine for more than 25 years, during which he has written hundreds of feature articles and authored more than 200 columns and commentaries.
Monty A. Forehand – Security Engineering Director, Seagate Technology
Monty Forehand is Director of Security Engineering at Seagate Technology, leading security products engineering, standards, certifications, and ecosystem development worldwide across all Seagate storage product lines. Monty joined Seagate in 1990 and has held various leadership, architecture, technology, design, and development engineering positions in 22 years at Seagate. Monty joined the emerging security products effort at Seagate in 2002 and led the product development of the first fully integrated self-encrypting drive (SED) products and the first FIPS 140-2 certified SED in the industry. Monty holds BS and MS Electrical and Computer Engineering degrees from Oklahoma State University and holds 12 patents and many in-process invention disclosures related to storage and storage security.
Howard Alexander – VP, Technology, Computech International
Howard Alexander, VP of Technology at Computech International (CTI) is responsible for all technological aspects of new and existing products, including mechanical, electrical and manufacturing aspects, component identification, product design and specification and documentation. Howard, who joined CTI in 2001, has over 45 years in the electronics/computer industry and has an extensive background in a variety of technologies. Howard is also a published technical writer in a variety of major publications.
