(Sign up below)

Date: September 25, 2012

Time: 08:00 AM PDT

Duration: 60-minutes

Rapid microbiological methods (RMMs) promise to accelerate the pharmaceutical production process while improving the quality assurance tools available. While benefits are great, validation and implementation take time. Opportunities exist where pharmaceutical companies can yield immediate benefits from RMMs. In this webinar, three non-compendial uses for one rapid microbial detection method, the Azbil BioVigilant IMD-A, will be explored.

Jackie Horridge, Ph.D., Senior Field Applications Scientist
As a field applications scientist, Dr. Jackie Horridge provides training, support and regulatory guidance to Azbil BioVigilant’s customers throughout the process of implementing and validating IMD-A rapid biologic detection systems in range of applications. Jackie earned a Ph.D. in molecular biology and has been supporting customers in the pharmaceutical, medical, biotechnology and food and beverage industries for over 10 years.

Joanny Salvas, M.Sc., Senior Scientist, Pfizer
Joanny Salvas, B. Biotech Engineering, M.Sc. A, is a Senior Scientist at Pfizer. She is part of a central group providing support to manufacturing plants, mainly in the Consumer HealthCare business. She is also part of Pfizer Global steering committee for the development of RMM methods and directed the implementation of such methods at manufacturing sites.
