CARE kV: A Physicians Perspective
Tuesday, June 26, 2012 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. ET
Reducing the kilo voltage, kV, provides significant dose benefits to patients; however, it can be challenging to implement without compromising image quality. Siemens has introduced the first automated kV selection algorithm in the industry that automatically recommends the optimal kV setting for each individual patient for each specific exam, CARE kV.
This presentation will discuss the rationale behind reducing kV and how CARE kV has assisted Dr. Marilyn J. Siegel in reaching new lows in radiation dose. The implementation process, improved workflow and improved patient outcomes will be presented along with case studies from St. Louis Children's Hospital. The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session.
To assist with understanding and implementing CARE kV, Siemens is offering a three-part series of educational webinars. Join us for the second in the series, CARE kV: From a Physician's Perspective.
Featured Speaker:
Marilyn J. Siegel, M.D.
Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology
Washington University Medical Center
St. Louis, MO
Why should you participate in the webcast?
- Learn what CARE kV is and how to use it.
- Learn the benefits in lowering kV.
- See case studies of how CARE kV can impact low dose imaging.
- Appreciate the relation of CARE kV and contrast-to-noise.
Subsequent Webinars will be offered in August 2012.
0.5 CE credits will be awarded for completion of this webinar.
*In order to be eligible for CE credits, you must be logged-in to the event via your computer and listen for the duration of the webcast.
