How the Cloud Revolutionizes Design

In the building industry, a transition to cloud computing enables a level of informed decision-making that was never possible in the past. As designers, architects, engineers, general contractors, energy auditors, and policy makers are able to access, analyze, and share vast amounts of data, the impact on reducing energy consumption and emissions could be enormous.

In this hour-long webcast, you will hear from Sivam Krish, Founder/CEO at Genometri Pte Ltd., Steve Sanderson, Partner at CASE, and Matt Jezyk, Senior Manager of AEC Conceptual Design Products at Autodesk. Joel Makower, Executive Editor at GreenBiz Group, will moderate the panel.

Sivam Krish, Founder/CEO, Genometri Pte Ltd.

Sivam is an educator/researcher/entrepreneur with a passion for design technologies. He graduated from MIT with a dual degree in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering and Architecture. His PhD at the University of Cambridge was on resolving the complex AI and manufacturing problems surrounding the cutting of gemstones; a problem of great design complexity. He was an Assistant professor at the National University of Singapore and has taught in many institutes globally. He is the founder of the Digital Design Academy an online education initiative and the runs the Linked in group on generative design. He is currently engaged in developing and promoting Genoform a cutting edge generative design technology. He resides in Adelaide, South Australia.

Steve Sanderson, Partner, CASE

Steve is a founding partner of CASE, a virtual design and construction (VDC) and integrated-practice consultancy based in New York City. At CASE, he is primarily responsible for leading building performance and technology strategy consulting for significant AECO clients. Prior to CASE, Sanderson was the Director of Design Technology at SHoP Architects, where he was responsible for introducing and leading SHoP's building information modeling, parametric design, and environmental modeling efforts; establishing the firm as an industry thought leader.

Matt Jezyk, Senior Manager, AEC Conceptual Design Products, Autodesk

Matt has been in the Architecture and Engineering industry for 16 years and has spent the past 12 years developing Autodesk Revit. He was one of the original architects hired by Revit Technology Corporation, pre-acquisition by Autodesk, and helped build Revit Architecture and Revit Structure. He is experienced in building parametric and geometric modeling tools for architects and engineers. Recently, Matt has focused on emerging markets and technology. His groups have designed and developed new parametric modeling and integrated energy analysis features. Most recently, he has lead the team working Project Vasari, a new technology preview available on Autodesk LABS.
