Description:

Do you have a need to provide or receive assurance that your organization’s privacy program is effective and performing as you expect, on a consistent basis? Do senior leadership and the Board of Directors request such assurance? Do you have a need to provide such assurance to a third party, such as a data controller or regulator?

Our discussion will help you discover ways of providing such assurance in order to build trust in the organization’s privacy program. You will hear first hand perspectives from PwC privacy professionals on ways to consistently communicate the effectiveness of your privacy program to your stakeholders, such as internal senior management, the Board of Directors, and parties outside of your organization.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Current state of the privacy landscape and accompanying obligations
  • Ways for organizations to provide external assurance that privacy obligations are being met.
  • Ways for organizations to request assurance from third parties that privacy obligations are being met.
  • Methods for organizations to provide internal assurance to stakeholders such as the privacy office, internal organization leadership, and Board leadership that the privacy program is operating as expected. Such assurance will be accompanied by recommendations for enhancement of the program.
