Title: Liability Insurance - Why it is imperative to protect yourself and your practice

Date: March 28, 2017

Time: 01:00 PM EDT

Summary of Presentation
With the change in Broker from Aon to BMS, you may be wondering how this will affect you and your practice. BMS and Gowlings wish to introduce themselves as your new insurance broker and legal team. They will provide you with an overview of your professional liability insurance program and discuss how you can minimize risk.

Webinar Objectives are:
  • To summarize what your CASW professional liability insurance program provides and how it protects you against professional and financial exposures.
  • To answer questions, such as:
    • Should I provide liability cover for my business if I’m not incorporated?
    • Am I covered when I engage in e-counselling?
    • Who should I contact if I’m concerned about an incident that just happened between myself and client?
  • To discuss things you can be doing within your practice in order to reduce risk
  • To discuss what is required of you if you are served with a statement of claim or letter of complaint from your college.
