Event DetailsTitle: Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) – National PerspectiveDate: March 30, 2017 Time: 01:00 PM EDT Summary of Presentation Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) has been weighing heavily on the minds of social workers across Canada since Bill C-14 was given royal assent on June 17, 2016. With MAiD now a legal reality for Canadians, it can sometimes feel that there are more questions than answers. This presentation will not provide all the answers, but rather address the following learning objectives:

In this capacity Ms. Guy led CASW’s efforts to influence Bill C-14. She is honoured to work nationally to promote and strengthen our profession. She holds a BSW from St. Thomas University, a BAH in Literature and Linguistics from Queen's University, and a MA in English Language and Literature from Queen's University. |
