Type: Audio Webcast

Time: 01:00 - 02:00 PM ET

Webcast Description:

Building a diverse workforce begins with hiring a diverse workforce but the real test is if they are still working for you in the long term. Are they committed to staying with your firm over a sustained time frame? Do they see themselves as future partners? Retention rates among diverse constituencies are significantly lower than the average, leading to significant stranded investment in training, promoting, and developing such resources. This course will review next practices and strategies on how to improve the retention and development of minorities and women, based on unique behavioral and attitudinal profiles of these constituencies.
Learning Objectives:
  • Enhance onboarding processes that provide a clear understanding on how to succeed at your firm as a diverse individual
  • Understand ways to support diverse talent in their professional development in areas such as getting CPA certification, intentional mentoring and sponsorship, and soft skill development
  • Craft experiential development trajectories for diverse individuals in a manner that honors their different needs
  • Recognize the importance of proactive retention strategies like of stay interviews and flexible work arrangements that are built on equity, instead of equality.
