Andrea Bonime-Blanc CEO and Founder GEC Risk Advisory Andrea Bonime-Blanc is the author of the white paper “Emerging Practices in Cyber Risk Governance,” which she wrote for The Conference Board, where she is the nonprofit’s lead cyber risk governance researcher. She is the CEO and founder of GEC Risk Advisory, a global strategic risk advisory firm. Bonime-Blanc holds a joint J.D. in law and Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University and has spent two decades as a senior executive — including as general counsel — in various global industries. She has worked in companies ranging from startups to Fortune 250 firms. Over the years, her responsibilities have included corporate governance, legal, ethics, compliance, risk, crisis management, internal audit, and external affairs. She was the founding global chief ethics and compliance officer for media company Bertelsmann. In 2015 and 2014, Ethisphere included her on its list of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics.
