Understanding Diversity & Inclusion
Type: Audio Webcast
Date: August 18, 2016
Time: 01:00 - 02:00 PM ET
Recommended CPE Credit: 1
Webcast Description:
This webcast puts a solid foundation in place through a deeper examination of what diversity and inclusion actually are. While we continue to throw these words around as if we are all talking about the same thing, the truth is that these words mean different things to different people. There is almost never a common language in place, which makes it even more difficult for our conversations about these issues to be meaningful or actionable. As Chip and Dan Heath say in Switch, “what looks like resistance is often a lack of clarity.” We must start first with clarity, and participants will leave this webcast with language and models that they can take back to their organizations to spark positive dialogue.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this webcast, participants will be able to:
  • Explain the fundamentals of diversity and inclusion in the workplace
  • Recognize a model of inclusion for various workplace environments
  • Identify practices that foster inclusive organizational cultures
