Inclusion is such a broad term, and is so often attached to Diversity, that in some cases we’ve stopped thinking deeply about what it truly means and how best to achieve it. What is inclusion? What does it mean to be inclusive? How can leaders ensure they’re being inclusive when it means different things to different people? In this webcast, we'll review a model for inclusion, the value of shared language, and the underlying neuroscience of inclusion.

Instructor:
Khalil Smith is the Practice Lead of Diversity and Inclusion at The Neuroleadership Institute, where he is responsible for the strategy and market presence of the practice.

Before joining NLI, Khalil opened and ran his own consultancy, Smith + Grey LLC, a boutique consulting firm that worked with medium-sized businesses on transforming organizational cultures and demystifying group dynamics.

Prior to that, Khalil spent over 14 years in senior leader roles with Apple Inc. During the final half of his time with Apple, he led various teams on the Retail Training team, including global teams of over 40 learning professionals focused on expanding and strengthening the Apple culture across hundreds of retail stores in dozens of countries and languages. Khalil and his team were responsible for such critical training elements as employee onboarding, technical skills, and product launches.

Khalil holds an M.B.A with dual concentrations in Leadership and Strategy from the University
of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Khalil also holds a SHRM-SCP certification, a testament to his
continued leadership and influence aligning HR strategies to organizational goals.
