  Editor Alex Harrison will be discussing the prices that Metal Bulletin produces with the company’s managing director Raju Daswani and market data manager Paolo Sorze. This web seminar will provide an overview of our assessments and indices, and what purpose they serve, as well as describing the methodologies and specifications that Metal Bulletin uses to produce its prices.

Alex has been the editor of Metal Bulletin since 2008, and has some years’ experience pricing and overseeing the pricing of a range of non-ferrous metal markets, including copper and aluminium premiums, cobalt and minor metals, and bulk and noble ores and alloys. He oversaw the launch of Metal Bulletin’s daily base metal premiums, its manganese ore, alumina and charge chrome indices, and more recently its trade logs.
Raju Daswani , Managing Director , Metal Bulletin

Raju graduated in 1991 from the London School of Economics & Political Sciences. Shortly after, he began his career within the metals industry by taking up a position at Alcan as a Business & Marketing Analyst within their UK operations. In 1995, Raju moved to Metal Bulletin’s research department (MBR) as a Senior Consultant, and assumed responsibility for all MBR’s aluminium-based research services. Raju has had several roles within Metal Bulletin including a four-year secondment to its New York office as Group Business Development Manager, Head of the Research Division, and Commercial Manager.

In 2006 he was appointed Managing Director of the global publishing operations of Metal Bulletin – which includes the brands of Metal Bulletin. Raju is also President of American Metal Market and runs a team of over 150 people located within offices in London, New York, Pittsburgh, Singapore, and Shanghai.
Paolo Sorze , Market Data Manager, Metal Bulletin

Prior to Metal Bulletin, Paolo worked at Platts for six years in data acquisition, data management and editorial operations. He is now Market Data Manager at Metal Bulletin.
