John Getty is an Instructor and Lab Director in the Petroleum Engineering Department at Montana Tech in Butte, Montana. The Proppant Research Division (PRD) focuses on advancing the state-of-the-art in fracture stimulation technologies and assisting with the initial evaluation of material. He has earned a BS in Applied Physics from Colorado State University, and a MS in Science Education from Montana State University.
