Many organizations today find that financial reporting alone no longer satisfies the needs of investors, governments, supply-chain partners, and other stakeholders for information about overall organizational performance. This diverse group of stakeholders is now requiring companies to become increasingly transparent with their sustainability business practices and accountable to their performance targets.

Today, 2,500 organizations around the world now measure and disclose their greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategies through CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), and over 1,400 organizations have published a GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) based sustainability report. Additionally, 95% of the most sustainable companies listed on both the Corporate Knights Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations and the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI) use SAP software to help run their business.

This provides a tremendous opportunity to impact the world’s leading companies as they further embed sustainability into their business strategies to unlock new opportunities through better transparency and accountability into their operations.

Join Patrick Crawford, Development Manager, CDP, Bastian Buck, Technical Development Manager of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Neil Krefsky, Marketing Director of Sustainability Reporting and Analytics Solutions at SAP, for an insightful discussion on the business case for sustainability disclosure. In this webcast you will hear how best in class companies are leveraging CDP disclosure, the GRI reporting framework and information technology to transform reporting obligations into a competitive advantage.

Learning Points:
  • Gain an understanding of the tangible business benefits of sustainability disclosure
  • Understand the best practices, guidance and support CDP and GRI provide organizations to help make sustainability reporting a value based standard practice
