XBRL 2011 Taxonomy Overview
This presentation is no longer available.
In 2010, the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF), the independent, private-sector organization with responsibility for oversight of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), assumed the ongoing development and maintenance of the U.S. GAAP Financial Reporting Taxonomy applicable to public issuers registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Taxonomy is a list of computer-readable tags in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) that allows companies to label precisely the thousands of pieces of financial data that are included in typical long-form financial statements and related footnote disclosures. This webcast features representatives of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the SEC discussing what you need to know to use the 2011 US GAAP Financial Reporting Taxonomy. Viewers will be able to e-mail their questions during the live webcast.
