Frank Chisholm, Executive Solutions Program Manager, WebSphere Business Events, IBM
Frank Chisholm joined IBM in January 2008 as a result of IBM’s acquisition of AptSoft Corporation. Frank was Founder/CEO of AptSoft Corporation, an enterprise software company specializing in real-time event processing technology. IBM’s recent announcement of the WebSphere Business Event Processing technology is based on the AptSoft technology.
Prior to AptSoft, Frank was President/COO of EasyAsk Inc. (formerly Linguistic Technology Corp.), an enterprise software company specializing in the development of Natural Language technology in support of the e-commerce market. EasyAsk was later acquired by Progress Software.
Prior to EasyAsk, Frank was President of TRINZIC Corporation (formerly AICorp). During his tenure, AICorp established itself as the market leader for natural language and expert system technologies, which resulted in a successful IPO and ultimate merger of AICorp with AION Corporation to form TRINZIC Corporation.
Frank joined AICorp from document and e-mail interchange software provider, Soft-Switch, where he was President and COO. During his tenure, Soft-Switch grew both domestic and internal operations to become a leader in the document interchange market. Soft-Switch was later acquired by Lotus Corporation.
From 1977 through 1986 Frank led the industry’s most successful 3rd party database software company of its time, Cullinet Software. As Executive Vice President of World Wide operations, Cullinet recorded the industries most successful IPO over the prior 10 year period, grew revenues from $3M to $185M, and expanded from 20 to 1,800 employees, all while recording an unparalleled 27 consecutive quarters of revenue and profit growth. |

Akram Bou-Ghannam, Ph.D., Executive IT Architect, IBM Software Group
Dr. Bou-Ghannam is an Executive IT Architect (Senior Certified) leading efforts to transform IBM into a globally integrated on-demand enterprise through SOA and dynamically reconfigurable services and architectures. His expertise in complex event processing and intelligent agents is helping IBM to realize the smart and agile enterprise – an enterprise that is capable of real-time discovery and response to actionable business situations. His SOA enterprise information architecture extends SOA into the data layer through the provision of information services, and helps achieve the enterprise vision of becoming information-centric in an SOA world. Dr. Bou-Ghannam is an IBM Master Inventor, and an accomplished author with multiple internal and external publications to his name.

Paul Faulkner, IBM Software Services for WebSphere
Paul Faulkner is a Certified IT Specialist with IBM Software Services for WebSphere, specializing in system integration. Paul has designed and implemented complex integration patterns, including policy-driven Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and solutions involving complex business event processing. Paul has over 20 years experience in IT with the majority of time spent developing middleware solutions. He has presented at multiple conferences.
