About the Presenters:
Steve Hendrick, Group Vice President, Application Development and Deployment Research, IDC
Stephen D. Hendrick is the Group Vice President of IDC's Application Development and Deployment research group which covers tools, technologies, and platforms used by professional developers to build and deploy applications. The Application Development and Deployment services that Mr. Hendrick manages include: Application Development Software, Information Management and Data Integration Software, Integration and Deployment Software, Application Life-Cycle Management, Service Oriented Architectures and Web Services.
Cushing Anderson, Program Vice President, Project-Based Services, IDC
Cushing Anderson is Program Vice President for IDC's Project-Based Services research. In this role, Cushing is responsible for managing the research agenda, field research, and custom research projects for IDC's Consulting, System Integration, Human Resources and Learning research programs.
Cushing has been actively investigating the link between strategic business planning and training in the extended enterprise. He has also extensively researched the value of partner certification programs to software companies, and speaks regularly on certification programs and the value of education to partnership programs.
Gary Fluitt, General Manager, Sun Certification, Sun Microsystems
Gary Fluitt is the General Manager for Sun's professional certification business, which is one of the largest credential programs in the IT industry with over half a million certified professionals in Java and Solaris. Gary has been involved in IT industry learning for 18 years and has been with Sun for over 9 years. He runs the certification program as part of the Learning Services organization.
